We all play a crucial role in offering an inclusive, affirming experience for all people, no matter their gender identity or expression.
The terms ‘gender’ and ‘sex’ are often used interchangeably. In fact, the two are very different. Each person is assigned a sex at birth based on their external genitalia. Each person also has an internal sense of self. This is known as a gender identity. It develops over the course of a person’s life and may change over time.
